seafoam brake booster?

Seafoam through PCV valve on Subaru is what most people use instead of brake booster. Put in small amount at a time otherwise you might damage your engine and emision components.

I've used the booster line before (on my Mazda) because it's a very strong vacuum source. It worked fine. And I could only add a small amount at a time without stalling the engine, so no worries there.

More recently I've used the vacuum line that actuates the BOV. It's easier to stuff in the can without spilling any.

Never have seafomed the Subaru. I think it would do more harm than good at this point.

I use one of the small vacuum lines above the coil pack that feeds more than just one cylinder. you can also feed the seafoam through a few of them so all cylinders get some. I don't believe that seafoam is in anyway a detrimental thing to use as long as you take your time and slowly feed it into the engine.

hello there. the topic here seems interesting. Well, I have a brake hardware kit (http://www.jcwhitney.com/brake-hardware/c1070j1s17.jcwx) and I'm planning to install brake boosters on my subaru car. Is it advisable or not? Any ideas of where can I get seafoam/pcv? thanks

I would recommend reading through it, as you seem a little confused about the subject.

The PCV valve is what you put the seafoam into (see pic above). The brake booster only gets it into one cylinder as its further down the intake manifold.

Truth. only 2 cylinders will get the seafoam.

Crank Case (PCV) / Vacuum Lines / Gas Tank.. smoke out your neighbourhood.

Yup!!! Doing it tonight on the FXT... I bet it might be the first time in the 96k miles. Interested to see.
