What about 04-07 WRX? I heard these year will not fit and they have different set up.

As a complete assembly they are the same as an 02-03 wrx. The shape of the springs and lower part of the tophat was changed, but like I said as an assembly they fit the same.

If you don't want to have camber problems, grab ones off WRX wagons. The wrx sedans have wider track than our cars. Not the end of the world, I ran sedan struts for years and just recently switched to wagon ones.

I have this set up too. The wrx rear top hats had to be swapped left to right to work. Bolt pattern is backwards. Not sure about the sedan though.

Who are the OEM/stock manufacture of those 02 WRX struts KYB,Monroe or just Subaru factory parts?

Nice, knowing how much they are for new on line now i know why everyone is searching for a used strut, spring assembly off of the Impreza's,I will be doing the same now Knowing that the Impreza wagon setup is best for a 2cnd generation Legacy wagon swap. Thanks for the reply....

I found 05 WRX wagon strut/spring set. Do i need to get 4 lower perches and 4 top hats to make a complete set for installation ? From another forum, they said rear perches can be reuse but that's for installing 02-03 struts, wonder if appllies to 05?

Where is best place to buy oem peaches /top hats?

If you have the 04 strut/spring set, you should just need the correct tophats for the tapered springs the 05 has (so go with 04-07 type).

For clarity, do you have a link to the listing or a pic or something of everything that is included?

Just plain struts/springs set, no peaches and top hat.

With WRX 04-07, Legacy can't use original parts and must use WRX complete set like Mike said. I wonder if it worth the trouble or just stay with current then just replace kyb struts. Huge difference in handling?

I also use this old .gf for Tahoe snowy trips in the winter time. Lower 1 more inch then this girl will be snow plowing in snow condition.

I misunderstood your question, luckily Mark didn't. Didn't mean to come off as a dick, lol.

Well, I'd ask him about the mileage for sure. Unless they're ultra low, the price of new tophats, etc would make it not worth it, assuming no-one has some used ones when you need em (as usually happens).

Kyb's in your application are specifically engineered to the weight of your vehicle, and are better performing than what came on your car brand new. The wrx suspension will prob handle a little better than KYB's, but honestly if you go KYB now and upgrade the springs later you won't miss a thing. And by that I mean Legacy specific springs. But it sounds like you don't want the vehicle any lower anyways.

I'm going with Mike's suggestion to stay with new KYB struts. New KYB will have 10-20% stiffer anyway and it costs $266 for a set includes shipping which is much better than used WRX struts. You guys are great!

02-03 WRX springs will work on the factory rear BD top hats right?

Yes.
