'95 Wagon in CT

Hi, guys! I'm Muse. 23, male... but who cares about that, right?

The real important info is that I just traded an old Dodge Ram D100 straight up for a 1995 Subaru Legacy L wagon, 2.2l engine, 4-speed auto. it's got mild rust over the rear wheels, and a hood that looks like it's been used as a stage by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but the AC blows cold as ice, the radio is good, and the engine runs smooth as silk.

My plans for it are to use it as a testbed for parts, get my setup optimized, then find myself a postal Legacy and swap the stuff over.

I've wanted a Legacy for a few years now, since borrowing a friend's '96 wagon at a time when my truck was in the shop. Best car I've ever driven.

Thats a really good idea to transfer the engine and all into a postal subie. You may want to start a member ride thread to show your progress cause I know id like to see it

When I get started building, I will. I just discovered that it has a wiring issue, where mice have attacked it. it's in the shop right now to resolve that problem. I'd do it myself, but my current car ('97 Neon coupe) is breathing it's last gasps, and I need the Subie fixed promptly, not in the time it would take for me to figure it out on my own.

What did the mice eat? I find they tend to like injector and ignition wires best. Watch out for nests in inconvenient places. I know of a Buick that burned to the ground because a nest cought fire.

Yeah, it's got rust you can't see in that picture over the rear wheels, and the cellphone quality hides what looks like hail damage, or something, but all in all, it's got a solid body.

Well, it's part of a bundle of wires beneath the intake manifold, and it caused a check engine code, saying that the knock sensor was not communicating, but it's in the shop now to fix that.
In the future, I'll probably do most of the work on it myself, but I need it running quickly, this time.
