ok, i've wanted to do this for a while.
we always see the pretty side of everyone's cars. now it's time to see the dark and ugly side of our rides. submit rustholes, scratches, dents, chips, yellow headlights; anything that while you're showing off your car cruising around, you hope to god no one sees...feel free to tell the story behind it too.

RF fender. Paint chip with silicone seal to prevent further chipping

Fogged headlight with sand inside houseing.

Right side rear bumper. Road Rage incident. Somehow a foot got embedded into the paint too...heh heh

RR 1/4 Panel. The most common place for rust. That paint actually chipped off when i took the picture.

yep, windshield.
Had to DIY the repair because the body shop I paid failed to do anything.
It rusted out so bad it cracked my windscreen, during winter. So I garaged the car until I mustered up enough courage to dremel the rust out and seal it.

I have no doubt my windshield looks like that underneath :(
I have the same rust as losdios has at the rear 1/4 panels.
Rust bubbling underneath the Legacy symbol in the back
+ rock chips on hood and mirror

take care of that bubbling rust ASAP, it is easily curable if you can get it quickly.
I didn't get it quickly, it spread :(

i'm not too concerned. i'm gonna have my brother in law replace the 1/4 and paint it for about 500.

oh oh...gotcha...
i'm glad that the 1/4 is all the rust i have. i could choose where to get rust though, it'd be the fender....easily replaceable.

My battle scars..

Backed into a railing that sticks out into my driveway (its a little hard to see but there's two nice big dents):

I have a folder:

Note, every place I painted has rust stains on it. Damn you rust, you're like a plague on my fine vehicle.

I'll try to get some sad pictures of my 99 BD tomorrow. I parked too close on a unusually high curb and ripped the right side of the bumper off when I backed up. It bent out at the corner and pulled the plastic clip out of the fender, bending the metal. It went back enough to not be too noticeable, but because the metal was bent it won't ever go back to normal without replacing both. Perhaps the fender panel could be tapped back, but the bumper plastic is torn too much.

wonder if you could blame someone for the oversized curb...

It's not dropped, but it's a GT, so it has side skirts which reduce the ground clearance. It usually just barely clears curbs if I park really close. This one was just odd I guess...it had it out for me!
