What should this vacuum line be connected to??

Does anybody know what this tube/ vacuum line is for??(99 legacy outback)

It is the top hard line along the firewall and has about 8-10 inches of rubber hose that is not currently connected to anything. I believe it is cruise control but am not postive. thank you

From just looking at the pictures I have, I can tell that the other 3 hard lines go off to the left and then down. This 4th hard line continues to the left and ends up connecting to something on the passenger side strut tower. This is on a 95 2.2L

Follow the green line. It goes to this valve on the pass. strut tower on my 97 2.5L

Mine just wasnt in the same place. I looked there and this is what I saw. I thought maybe it fell off somewhere down the road.

So I looked around. In my car, it is tucked bach behind the strut tower!! sneaky little son of a gun

I dont think the cruise control has worked since we bought the car about 5 years back....guess that explains it!!

I bought my legacy, cruise didn't work, fixed it before I did anything else...I <3 cruise control :)
