EJ20 heads from a Forester

So, got someone that's got a set of 2.0L single overhead cam heads off a forester. Now I see 3 faults here, 1) there was no 2.0L forester in the US 2) they are N/a heads, 3) I have no idea how they got here.

I am going to dig around and see what I can find, post a picture tonight, maybe someone can tell me what they will be good for, I never pass up free parts, and well...if I can use um I will...

They don't look like 2.5L SOHC either, I briefly looked at them last night, but not into full detail cause I was in a hurry...

Sounds just like a midrange n/a engine from europe, Japan or wherever. Couldn't imagine running a 2.0 in the Forester, my old 2.5D 5mt Forester wasn't exactly fast lol.

If you have a US SOHC intake manifold it would be interesting to see it fits the heads.

I'll let you know if in fact those heads are the right ones or not, buddies shop had a guy bring in a 2.0L N/a forester long block for the short block to use it on a build, and well everything is there to make something out of it

Curious to see how the compression will come out on a 2.5L SOHC short block with those 2.0L heads. Wiki says the 2.0L was 9.7:1...I'm wondering if it'll be different on a 2.5, depends if the stroke is different between the two short blocks. Knowing subaru it's probably the same crank that's used just a different bore and pistons. Joys of them never getting fancy and making things difficult.
