Help me please?! Strange noise while driving.

I was hoping some of y'all could help me out with this, I was driving the other day and started hearing a weird noise but just kind of ignored it and kept on driving. Well today I was driving and it just got worse. What it sounds like it something is spinning back drivers side tire and it sounds really really bad. I was going to take it in but no places are open and I wanted to save some money to do it by myself to save some $. Any idea what it might be?

It doesn't sound like metal on metal it sounds like its rubbing against plastic. My car is an 03 legacy l, auto with about 80k on it. I went around my neighborhood to try and pinpoint the noise and I figured out when I compress the breaks it goes away but quickly comes back.

Umm. If it sounds like plastic rubbing check the inner fender plastic and the undercovers. Make sure they havent had come loose or falling down. Internet diagnosis is kind of hard without seeing the car

I understand that totally, and none of the inner plastic has come loose.

So far you have told me just about nothing other then your car makes noise when it moves... :smt017 That narrows it down to about half the car...

I think my car may be making a similar noise. Mine stops similarly when I hit the brakes but for me it mostly occurs when Im coasting

Well I feel like a complete idiot. When I got home today I had nothing better to do than wash my car, and per my usual routine I started washing my rims. As I got to the tire that was causing me issues I noticed one lug nut was loose, so I checked the rest of them. And I was able to take them all off by hand which is not a good thing. So I tightened them back up and took it around the block and the noise has disappeared for now. Thanks everyone for all the help though.

Retighten your lugs at 100miles. They will come "loose" again after you first tighten them.

Also, the first clue to your problem was when the noise went away when braking.

You say that, but I've had a couple cars where the noise went away on braking, and it was the....braking system that was the issue lol.
