Don't believe I have taken the time to introduce myself on here. I bought my car back in June for $700 and drove it home. It's a 1997 Legacy GT wagon 5 speed (which I hear is sort of rare, probably not). It had come with the 2.5 but one of the previous owners swapped in a phase 1 2.2L. I pulled the motor out to do the head gaskets, timing belt, rear main seal and to make sure all my clutch components were in order and having only part time employment I am just now about to drop the motor back in. I got hooked on the legacy wagons due to a buddy of mine letting me borrow his for almost 6 months. I used to be a volkswagen guru but I'm all done with working on the junk. The green wagon in the second pic is what got me hooked on Subaru. The first pic has NY plates on the car (previous owner pic). My plans are to fix the rot, and eventually either buy an EJ22T complete motor or just get some pistons and heads from an EJ22T and rebuild my EJ22E using them and run 8 pounds of boost through it. Been doing plenty of research and learning quite a bit.
