Could someone give me the symptoms of someone in a second gen N/A needing a new fuel or water pump. Asking this because I'm noticing when at cold take off but even at regular normal engine temp tha my Rpm's seem to move faster then my spedometer does. I could just be paronoid since It has been so long since my car ran with noting at all needing to be cleaned or replaced but I just find it odd and I don't remember dong this a few weeks and past times ago.

I just replaced mine, and the old one would make a small squeal when the car was started. Had someone under the car listening to it, lol. Also it would leak a little out of the "weep" hole, which dripped down the oil pan and on the ground. Lastly, the temp gauge needle would go to the usual spot, but when I really gunned it, I'd see the needle actually move downwards! This was when it got really bad.

You'll know when the fuel pump starts to go bad. The car will chug and buck under load and in my experience, they tend to run "better" in cooler temperatures.

The water pump will show itself just the way mike-tracy described. Watch for funny colored leaks from the front cover due to the weep hole.

Oh okay cool, so far I have none of this but ight Ill still know what to look for. Just asking because I'm really wanting to get all the small stuff fixed on my car and also asking about different stuff because Idk how the last owner of my car took care of and idk if the place I got it at did any work on it before it was out for sale so I'm clueless until stuff shows its self.
