So from what I understand the 2002-2007 harness bar can be modified to fit the BD legacy. Does anyone have photographic evidence of this? Anyone know how much modification? Would it be better to get a universeal and modify it, or possibly make one from scratch?

there are plenty that will argue, but I still think a harness bar without a real rollbar/cage is stupid.

And for daily drivers they really arent safe at all. And illegal in some states.

Im not deleting the the factory seat belts, they will still be used for day to day stuff who the F has time to put on a 5 point every time you get in your car??. it would just be nice to have some good seatbelts, to help with holding in the seat and comfort in general. since i take my car to the track 2-3 times a month.
the stupid stock seatbelts dont stay tight, because of the ratcheting mechinism, i have talked to a ton of people that have the same issue with stock ones at the track. believe it or not harness bars are pretty handy. my car isnt a race car, i still use the back seat, but it does get used at the track regularly i dont have a need or a use for a roll bar/roll cage but it would be nice to have something i can bolt into the car the night before, and attactch seatbelts to, cant do that with a roll bar.. alot of people are attaching them to the child car seat anchors in the back.... WTF? first of that looks trashy/gehto as fuck. second, those anchors were made for someone who is like 40lbs. not 200lbs. thanks but ill take the harness bar regardless of your opinions.

anyways. back on target...

is there anyone here with any kind of facts, technical information, or personal experience with these? instead of opinion, and conjector.

For the occasional autox (or whatever you do) then the harness bar would be a good choice, because your right stock seat belts do not hold you in place.
To answer your question, the 02-07 bars will fit your BD with very minor modification. like trimming the mounting plate just a little bit. other wise its bolt in.

When you say track, so you mean drag or road course? 2-3 times a month is quite a bit. Around here people that go 2-3 times a year consider that a lot haha.

from what i know is that 2.5RS (GC) can use wrx harness bars, i take it our car is no wider than a RS and should fit but thats all i got. Im in for the answer as well.
