This is my fiance's car but she doesn't really wanna go on the forum (though I've tried and tried) but randomly asked if I ever posted the build thread of her Outback and I know what the rules say about posting and owning the car but I'll be co-owner one day.

So here it is, a 2003 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon. It has a 5mt and is on its third 2.5l engine. It's my girls daily and she is an enthusiast :smt023 so it started getting modified. It stayed stock from the time she bought it about a year and a half ago until July 6th when we installed fog lights, windshield banner, shifter extension, and a new shift knob. I know that's not much of a list but were low on funds and I also had to fix her front bumper after she hit a deer a while back. Future mods include my stromung after the RS gets a new exhaust and some other bits that she will be getting for Christmas.

What fog lights did you put on the top of the bumper? They look the same as the ones Rubie_25GT has painted yellow on his car.

You should consider the Honda rear wiper mod, ditch the nasty metal one and save some weight. lol.
Yellow tint on the fogs?

^^she was thinking blue or red...anybody know of a good cheaper way to lift the outback? the forester strut/spring technique won't work on this due to the rear struts being different than usual

Now that Christmas is over I can reveal the outbacks next mods
EBay uel headers
Weapon r short ram intake
Possible gutted rs exhaust if I can get a welder

The headers and intake will be installed in about an hour

Headers were installed as well as an o2 sensor spacer from Huffer (bad cat). Has a little rumble now but its too subtle.

My 00 Outback threw a PO420 with the knock sensor code. I replaced the knock sensor and both codes went away. Not sure if that helps you diagnose the cat. Also, Eric the Car Guy has a video of diagnosing a bad cat on youtube. Look it up. He used a 97 Legacy for it.

You can smell the cat is bad and we checked the cel. Just threw a spacer on so we didn't have to buy one

Once I put the 3 inch exhaust on my impreza this will be getting my stromung. It is currently in dire need of a new clutch kit and axle. Unless we take it to a shop this will have to wait til after we find and buy a house since the justy and motorcycle are occupying all of our small garage. Also awaiting a short ram intake that needs new paint

updated mods. Spent the whole day at my buddy's shop replacing all 4 struts with kyb gr2s (oem right?) and new moog tophats. No more steering issue, rides nice and smooth. Next up is a much needed alignment.
