I heard its basically useless unless your doing 130 and I heard that it works. Well, it works at 70 mph and the roof vane works well with it.

From riding in my brother's 05 STI I can tell you they are functional. He has a wingless wrx trunk as well and the back of the car feels more planted starting at about 70. He said he will never put the wingless trunk on again after a few "moments" with high speed corners. I was in the car for one of them.
