Knight Rider, android, double din

hello,

i want to change my display unit,first is japan model, screen is totally in Japanese...no cant do. i saw this knight rider fitted with android and lot of other stuff...anyone know something about it?

please post more detail. are you asking how to change the language on your display unit? or how to mount a display unit capable of android?

what car do you drive? please give us more detail

I like how this sounds :) So long as the head unit is a standard size (ie. Single or dual DIN) and your car can fit that (virtually all Subies can) - and you can wire or drop it off at an installer - should be good.

u guys are wasting your time... a 7" android tablet connected to a bluetooth head unit is the way to go. hide the headunit under ur seat. 7" samsung tab 2 in the dash .

think im about to order some fiberglass and a new single din deck and go to town with my tablet lol. i got the 10" though... but your putting naughty thoughts in my head haha

no need to glass it. you can put a empty din slot and buy a suction cup style mount that attaches to the back of the din and clips onto the tablet. clean and allows you to tilt it side to side for various uses.

thats not a bad idea either. but i always prefer custom built, cleaner installed looking pieces lol. thats just me...

but you just broke my heart :( this things either way to wide, or way to tall for me to tollerate... might have to buy the smaller version just for the baja lol.

i been away... :grin: . I saw my post been populated by replays :smile:
What i want is to replace the original head unit (the firmware is also in Japanese! No time to learn that language) with a android double din unit, donno if i can post pics of this unit, is from China, packet with futures, G3, WIFI, and u can download all the application u want from Google, i checked some review of this chinese site, they are all impressed by delivery, what i didn found is a review of this head unit fitted with android. So i was wonder if anyone of u got it and was happy with it...
