New to the board, new to Legacy's!

Hey everyone, I just joined the board because I recently picked up a 96 Legacy L Wagon. This is my 4th Subaru. I've owned a 2000 2.5RS (which I still miss), 2008 2.5i hatch, and I currently have a 2011 WRX hatch. I just accepted a teaching position in another state and didn't want to rack up the miles on my new WRX, so I grabbed the Legacy to commute with.

I'm really pleased with the Legacy so far except for some mystery transmission (I think) noise that is still being diagnosed...

I'm looking forward to getting to know more about the Legacy. I'll add better pics of the Legacy soon... in the meantime here's the others!

Was RS a reliable car? Or you got tired driving it?

Well, I did have the head gasket failure that the 2.5's are plagued with. Aside from that it was pretty solid. At the time I sold it, I had just moved and needed the money. RS's, especially back in 05, were very easy to sell. I regretted it almost immediately though.

My Legacy is all sorted out for now. The transmission noise and vibration ended up getting really bad which resulted in me swapping out the transmission. It's great now! I've since added WRX wheels as well. I'm excited to use this car to commute.
