2002 Buell Blast Harley's "Learning Bike."
Just got it recently, and need to rebuild the motor. Problem is.... this is my first Harley product.
500cc
K&N Filter
Hand guards (I removed them as you'll see)
LED's
Perelli's

For starters:
I'm looking for any engine rebuilding info, if anyone can help.

What I just picked up for it recently:
Straight bars
Blinkers

Thinking maybe heatwrap the exhaust/get a little wider rear tire & rim after the motors done.

Anywho... pics.

night I got it...

Next day after cleaning it up a little.

being an air cooled bike, rebuliding that motor might be the worst route to go. depending on how bad the motor blew up... Its hard to judge from this side of the screen not knowing whats really going on. But i'd bet 9/10 times its probably going to be cheaper to just go buy a new motor. They are relatively cheap for those in good running order. and since beull shut down, im not sure how easy parts are going to be to find for them. Hope you paid next to nothing for it! they arent worth much, but quite fun little bikes. i bought one for my gf a few years ago for her first bike. she loved it, i even enjoyed riding the little thing lol. Hold onto it though, i bet their values start going up more and more now days.

Thanks. Its hard to even locate a motor. I still have my Suzuki, so this is going to be my little on the side project. fun

congrats on a new bike, at this point take that engine apart and figure out what is actually wrong and if it is rebuild-able. IF it is good rebuild it, if not trow away what is broken and keep the good parts. Or just stick a suzuki motor in it so it runs forever.

Im liking the latter.... My neighbor has a couple motors and tranny's , no harnesses . Ya got me thinking now! LOL

after typing that i noticed that the rear sprocket is on the wrong side, its probably possible to swap it around but then again you never know. And dont throe away those hand guards they come in handy on colder day, or you could always sell them (<--hint). I always wondered are buells metric or sae? I know there are metric cruisers (jap) but are there sae sport bikes?
