Ok so I recently attempted replacing my head gaskets on my phase 1 EJ22, went with the crappy graphite head gaskets (which I highly recommend you NEVER do) and their bad so now I'm pulling my motor again. I have picked up a set of EJ25D heads and am building a Frankenstein 2.2/2.5. A lot of people are telling me it's a great setup for boost, but my biggest question would be should I split the block and put in ACL race bearings, ARP studs, and EJ22T pistons or just slap the heads on and run it at 8lbs of boost. I'd rather be able to run around 12lbs on a stock wrx td04. I've done a good amount of research but can't seem to figure out if I can just install the EJ22T pistons with no issues. Any info is greatly appreciated and expect to see a build thread soon.
