95 -96 BD Grill

On the small grills like what the 95's and the 96's have, is it possible to take off only the middle black part of the grill from the chrome peaces its attached to.

I have the small 95 grill, didn't like it too much, removed the black part last weekend just kept the chrome. The black part has RIVETS all around so there is no way going back once removed. No regrets for me, just like the chrome only but I also had to use Dremel to cut the rest of the mounts around the grill to make it look right.

Oh okay Then that's out of the question for me then, I want the entire thing but was going to replace the black part with a friends that actually has an emblem in it that's in pretty good condition.

Just replace the emblem, it's glued in and takes 30 seconds to remove.

Whats a safe way to take it off though.

Glue is old, black, and easy to remove with a cloth wrapped around a THIN screw driver. It popped out easily without a fight and damage.

Or a heat gun works too.
