trying to wire in lighted ignition ring. how should we wire it in? :smt026

Which Legacy do you have?

For the key ring to light up when the doors open --> Tap into the dome light.
For the key ring to light up when you put the key in --> Tap into the ignition cylinder
For the key ring to light up when the door opens and when the engine is running --> you need to build a circuit that handles this. Most subarus that have this feature have a "integrated module" ..

Chuck, its the '97 in my signature. Has keyless and I've tried tapping into that to get it to light up but that didn't work. I used the wires that were labeled for the dome light too.
