Lowering springs for 95 Legacy Sedan?

I know of a few good brands of springs, but I also know finding them to fit my car is next to impossible.

Just out of curiosity, could anyone suggest a decent brand for me to look into?

How many miles are on your stock struts right now? while your in there and taking everything apart/upgrading, some might upgrade the whole thing, meaning struts as well. If your struts have high mileage, lowering them is just going to wear them out faster. When you switch over to WRX suspension, which is pretty much a drop in, you're able to use WRX springs and struts. Much, much more available parts for them.

If that was something you were wanting to look into, Im currently selling a setup I've decided not to use. 2004 wrx sedan struts, springs, top hats and swift sport lowering springs. oem struts and springs have 60k miles on them, the swift sport springs have 1500 miles on them.

The GD Impreza (02-07) struts/springs/tops will go right into a BD/BK/BG Legacy with no fuss (at least not due to fitment). It is important to note that if you get springs from the 02-03, you must get the correct tophats for those, and the same for 04-07. In 04, they changed the spring design on the tops of the springs. Struts through those model years are the same though.

Note: 04 STi stuff will also bolt right in, but 05+ will not as they changed things.

I will also note that if you have a sedan, you can go with either Sedan or Wagon struts, but it would probably look the best with sedan struts, ride height wise.

As USDM pointed out, WRX struts open you up to a lot more spring options than if you were to stick with the Legacy struts. I think there are only 2 companies making springs that are available without importing from outside the US ($$) that go right on the Legacy struts/strut tops.

I have a set of H&R's on my BD... They are made for my car, so they just bolt right on. Decent ride also, but still stiff.

I bought my car at 115k and it's currently going on 140k... And I'm honestly not sure if the struts have even been changed. I have to find the service records.

But I really like that. I don't want it to be "slammed" but definitely a little noticeable drop.

I liked my H&R Springs on GR2s...about the prefect stance for me, as well as a marked improvement I'm handling when combined with a rear swaybar and stiffer endlinks. As mark said, you can go with WRX stuff, but that setup is hard to beat in my opinion.

My GR2's are a little worn, but my BD is a blast to drive! Like Perdue said though, a rear sway bar would be nice. I have taken my car on a few road trips and it doesnt beat the crap out of you at all and it's also fun when you find some corners.

If it says anything, when I take my mom or dad some where they dont complain about the stiffness.
