Yes im still here and after about 10 low ball offers on my car i think i have decided to keep it for a little while longer.

Anyways my problem is that when i turn into a corner pretty hard my car grinds in the rear end. so i dug into my car today to see what i could find. here are some pics of the problem, it looks like the rotor is coming in contact wit the backing plate and causing the noise. what could be causing this?

Wheel bearing? A very bad wheel bearing at that

Possible.
Only real time ive seen that that type of grinding is it the backing plate is been bent or with some aftermarket rotor being machined to spec. But it just in that one spot i would check the bearing for play.

bearings showed to have no play but i did research this problem and nasioc has a big thread on it. I couldnt find a definite cause but i called the dealership and they said the get the occasional older subaru with this problem and they usually just cut off that little area. so thats what i did and no more noise.
