Has anyone ever had any experience with Sensen shocks or struts? Apparently they are big in China, but I'm curious as to their quality. General google searching has given me generally good feedback, but I can't find anything Subaru based. Does anyone have insight on this brand?

I have an offer for a free set with free installation (for the production of an installation video), but I don't want to do it if they are crap.

Depends what you want from your setup. They're not going to be as good as KYBs, they're an economy strut. Might be as good as Monroes.

Well, they're apparently available for my wife's Odyssey:

SENSEN has been manufacturing shocks and struts for the cost conscious consumer since 1985. They are an OE supplier to European manufacturers.

SENSEN Twin-tube Shock Absorbers satisfies the most demanding drivers. Fully self-adjusting, they incorporate many features that improve performance and prolong the life of the shock absorber. Some of these benefits are constructional features that reduce breakage, leaks, friction, wear and tear.

Japanese made NOK seals.
Resistant piston ring helps improve performance.
Gas-filled twin-tube shock absorbers with pressurized nitrogen gas account for riding comfort, and at the same time, dramatically reduce aeration or foaming.
Each shock is coated with a premium quality finish for corrosion and rust protection.

Here's the price comparison for the same part:

SENSEN Part # 12130156 Rear $16.47
MONROE Part # 37218 Rear $30.89
KYB Part # 344353 Rear $35.79

I have them on our forester. There decent and ride good a little stiffer then stock. Have about 5k on them. From what i read about them people have 40k+ on them and still ride good

Chinese car parts may sound scary, but their auto industry is picking up and this may very well be a legitimate cheap solution.

Sure, but look at the price differential I posted on the rear shocks in an 03 odyssey. $16 to sell, and that includes manufacturing, shipping, storage and reselling costs?!?

Well the manufacturing barely includes labor. Yeah, I know, China's crazy like that. I don't know how they do it either, and I've done a little bit of business there. I got two tailored silk and wool suits for $240 in Shanghai.
