I have a 1990 Subaru Legacy L. I believe its the 2.2L. I need to know the part number for the oil pan gasket. I dented the pressed steel oil pan and I am going to replace it. I will get the oil pan from the junk yard but I want a new gasket obviously. So if some one can find me a part # for it that would be freaking awesome.

Use Fuji bond to seal the new pan.

I haven't had much luck with sealant on oil pans in the past. I would rather just use an replacement gasket. Did Subaru originally use sealant or a gasket?

Subaru did not use a gasket, they used fuji bond. If you decide not to use the correct sealant as subaru specifies for it and go with an aftermarket gasket, you'll just wind up doing the job twice.

Try 11122AA340. I can't guarantee that is correct, but that is the closest I can get with a part number. It was listed under 2.2L, but it only lists 2.5L and 3.0L Legacies and SVXs from '93 and up. I can't really find any info before '93.

Mmm that sucks. I guess I will just have to do it the lame way and use sealant. Thanks for the help guys. New question any one have torque specs on oil pan bolts and maybe a torque pattern diagram.
