The Beater Wagon!

Hello,

Here's a few pictures of my Beaterwagon. I bought it for $850.00 from some guy on craigslist and so far it is bulletproof. It's currently stock except for a cheap intake that the previous owner had on it when I bought it (pictured below).

I will probably be starting with the basic upgrades like exhaust, new intake, suspension, wheels/tires, etc.

Later on, I may do a little more with it. This is going to stay a daily driver for me, so I'm not doing anything too ridiculous with it.

First on the list is a rattle can paint job (say what you will about it, I'd rather save money for parts) because the paint is terrible!

If done right, a rattle can paint job will look fine. I read in Car Craft how to do a $23 paint job with a roller. It looked good enough in the pictures.

YES!!! Another $800 beater! check out my build thread for inspiration. I didn't think I would do any thing crazy but Mod-itus struck hard core. I cant wait to see what you do with this thing.

Yokosilver- Yeah, I’ve seen a few DIY write-ups on a bunch of different sites and forums and it can definitely look good, it just takes a lot of patience! I’m debating on doing the bottom half under the trim in truck bed liner, but I’m not sure what I want to do with the rest of the car color-wise. I like red, but it’s a cop magnet and I’m one ticket away from a revoked license. :-? Possibly grey or black… We’ll see!

90Beater- Thanks a lot! I checked out your build thread too. I love the matte green and the light bar! It looks awesome. :smt023 Also, you have as close to a show quality engine bay as any DD can get!

Lol thanks man. Whats funny about the engine bay is it only took about 2 hours of Simple Green, scrubbing, and some plastic dressing.
