Just had to share but I was heading to work this morning and I had to pull out into moving traffic quick so I reved her up, not sure how hi, and dropped the clutch and to my suprise I red lined really quick and smelt burnt rubber!!!! Never have done that on dry pavement and was suprised that I did. Just gives ya some insight on how low my tread is getting :D

nice!

Good thing you did, otherwise you'd have stressed your tranny ;)

Have you done much in the engine dept. since the dyno?

4 wheel burnouts are fun for sure. I could break all 4 loose almost at will with the re92's but I'm running the Exclaim UHP's now and they are so frickin' sticky that they barely even chirp. They hook up damn nice though, that's for sure. I need to be more careful with my tranny now though, I'm already on my second one.

Congrats on tearing up the pavement. Hope that was not the smell of burnt clutch.

be careful doing that. rear ends have been known to brake on subarus' clutches being dropped.

I can spin all 4 in the rain ;-) I can spin the tires on takeoff though. Mine is around 200whp now.

haha, i don't think "pretty good tires" has anything to do with your not being able to spin tires, mark

Well, if PWT can spin his tires and I can't, I believe it would have to do with the tires, considering our vehicles are mechanically identical (5MT, EJ22).

Yes, the engine is weak...oh well.

you sounded sad...sorry...didn't want to make you feel bad.

if it makes you feel any better, my engine's the same as yours except i have huge tires. imagine my power output.

I can get two to spin on pavement if it's dry or wet, all 4 to come loose on dirt, gravel, snow, etc.

Oh, and yeah, I buried my car all the way up to the axles in snow. >_<

I can slam my rear diff into the bottom of my trunk on the 1-2 shift. :p

this was our first winter up here, i was trying to see how much snow it would take to get stuck, at any rate i finaly got stuck on the snow plow berm turning into my driveway, the berm plus about 9" will do ya.

If it's really light powder, you can go through almost unlimited depths of it.

When it's no longer powder, it gets tough. I have pleanty of experience in horrible snow.
