let's rethink that - overall performance?
Quickest Legacy in the world I would have to pick the original WRC car.
I have seen some 89RS cars in NZ pull down 10.9s in the 1/4mile.

I've seen USDM Legacys put down 11.2s with an EJ20 USDM WRX swap.
I have not seen faster, but I'm sure there is.
PRNOR's yellow wagon is pretty damn fast. He's a member, but I haven't seen him for a long time.

I have one of the faster EJ22 Legacy's out there, at least on the east coast. I haven't really been keeping track. If I could get it to run right at the track, I expect mid to low 13's.

Turbo.
I want to see a 10 something at some point. If I could do that, I'd be happy as a pig in shit.

A first gen Legacy with an STi motor/tranny swap, suspension upgrades, and some weight reduction... FTW!!!

Easy Street Motorsports has the fastest track Suby right now in the US...their car is running 9.194 @ 146.07 in the 1/4 mile...
Andy Forrest holds the 1/4 mile time in the UK and with Crawford Performace was the first Subaru to break 200 mph...
And of course, the Subaru World Rally Team consistantly breaks stage times where ever they are...
