what ever that annoying ugly little piece is called. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET IT OFF?! im about to take a hack saw and start cutting.
theres the 4 screws on the top side that just spin and spin and spin and never losen, and theres absolutely no way to get to the underside of those screws from inside the car. Is there a trick anyone knows? other wise im cutting the damn thing off.... with a torch.

It mounts in a similar place to the wing seen on the same MY legacy, so it would stand to reason that you would be able to access the bolts from behind the panelling on the upper inside of the trunk lid.
As a side note, I really dislike our trunks; they seem to be either poorly designed or built shoddily (or both). Struts are weak, handle/latch it prone to rusting badly and failing, the cavern causes massive drone from any exhaust, and the rear wiper motor is too noisy.
Edit: Ooooh, you know what they're probably rivets.
What is that thing supposed to do anyway?

It actually reduces drag on the car, by causing the air stream that would otherwise fly off the back and create a low pressure zone to be directed down along the angle of the rear window.

there is absolutely no getting to the bolts from the underside. AT ALL. unless your cutting away sheet metal.
i fianlly said fuck it, and ripped on the thing untill it broke. then i took a bolt cutter to all 4 bolts, and let half of them fall inside the deck lid... lol they can stay there far as im concerned, I'll never hear them rattling in this car.
