Piston deck clearance ej22?

Turbo-ing my EJ22E and adding EJ22T pistons, and I have heard they protrude out past the deck a tid bit. Would anyone know exactly how much? I plan on running a thicker head gasket if that helps. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Deck clearance is -0.012.
You can use .054- .065 MLS head gaskets & be well on the safe side of operation, especially considering that you're using 22T pistons.

I decided against the 22T pistons, didn't realize we had different piston sizes. My engine takes all A's and the 22T pistons are all B's. Im just going to order some weisco forged pistons, and maybe some rods.

I've actually seen "A" sized ej22t pistons, had a 91 sport sedan that was an ABAB engine.

so instead of starting my own thread, just what would it take to Turbo my 96 Legacy w/ EJ22E have access to a TD04 and the factory TMIC, up/down pipe, exhaust manifold, from an 04 Foz XT.

Minimum needed is what you have, still have to notch the crossmember to let the uppipe clear, run oil and coolant to the turbo, figure a route from the maf to the turbo, mod the y pipe from turbo to the intercooler. I don't remember what the 04 fxt td04 wastegate was set to, there is one year that wastegate pressure was pretty low and that's the one that would be best to run. Check nasioc or rs25 for that. I know I've seen it on one of them if it isn't here.

Would be wise to upgrade the fuel pump also, just to be safe. Anything under 8 psi you should safe with bare minimum, depending on the health of the motor to start with, much higher than that injectors and something to adjust fuel trim would be wise.
