First Subaru and I'm psyched.
Wish it was 5spd....
Will keep upgrading until I can get a WRX or STi that I love.
Downloaded the repair manual.
Gonna get my hands dirty for this car to save in labor costs. Unless the job is too hard.
Joined to do serious searching on this forum for tips, techniques, and other good stuff
Will be greatly appreciating any help and suggestions that come my way!
AWD/ Saftey/ Handling are my favorites (PZEV is cool too)
Love the exhaust sound. Like no other.
SCCA and Rally are a big interest to me. (again...wish it was 5spd)
Can't wait to be in unison with my car and increase my driving abilities

Gotta start somewhere ....and here it goes ;)

Concerns:
* Not a very fluent up/down auto shift. Performs better in sport. Reminds me of someone learning how to drive standard and time the up/down shift fluently.... (better not be a timing problem yet) 82.5k maintenance check will hopefully take care of this problem???

* WTB Full roof rack for snowboard....I posted in WTB already

Thanks for letting me join!

Welcome. Is it cold up there? If so, would you like to trade climates?

Has the trans always shifted like that? I have driven ONE 5EAT Subaru and it acted in a similar fashion. A trans flush might help though. And if anything, it's better than having your feet in the air and your head on the ground.

Thanks :) It has but I have only owned it for 5k soooo, I'm not sure the background. No tranny flush has happened. I was also considering that too.
And no! I love my climate here. Indian summer coming this Thursday....a rally would be nice through the leaves.
