Okay so one of the exhaust bolts on the ej22 i picked up yesterday is snapped close to the head. At least one of the remaining is stripped. I tried double-nutting the bolt to turn it out and the nut just spun. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this roadblock?

helicoil, or you could hammer a deep socket onto it and then break it loose that way...
Did you use any PB blaster or similar on the bolt?

Vise grips might get them or welding a nut to them

I dont have a welding mschine, and the bolts were a complete oversight. I thought helicoil was supposed to help after getting the bolt out?

I assumed you had the bolt out because you said it was stripped.
You could always try cutting the bolt a little, drilling into it with a small bit and then turning it out that way...
Soak the thing down like crazy with PB blaster though...

you should be able to get the stripped one out by simply giving it some upward pressure while spinning it. Usually that is enough to get them out.
