Sometimes when going off the line I'm first if I don't rev up high, the car will kind of shudder like wheel hop. The clutch was done February, stock exedy setup. Anyone have any ideas? I believe I may need to tighten the clutch line because it use to grab real early, now it does at the top of the pedal, not sure if that's related but still. (Also should I tighten that from the fork or the pedal?)

You're having a clutch engagement issue. Some model information would be helpful.

95 legacy L. Clutch was done in February, the adjustment feels off, could it just need adjustment?

Are you dropping the clutch or slipping it off the line (kinda like you are on a hill)?

I just drive it normal. I'm in Florida, no hills lol. Kinds starting to seem like it's only doing it because I'm in a rush.

Have you looked at your carrier bearings or U-joints? I had the same type of problem with my Fiat and it was a bad Carrier bearing. Had the same problem with my Chevy also, but it was the U-joints.
Just something to look at...

I'll have to check in to that

I was going to suggest CDV in the master cylinder, but you're running a cable clutch. I'd definitely check bearings & the clutch fork joint to see if there are any issues there.
It could also just need an adjustment.

I don't know if it's related but it's definitely in need of adjustment. when I did the clutch in February it was tight, all the way to the floor almost, now it's at the top of the pedal. I don't really beat on the car. Is the cable prone to stretching? And where would I get a replacement?

It will take you about 5 minutes to adjust the clutch play... All it is, is the rod at the back of the master. Ether a 12mm or a 14mm nut...
If it disengages all the way at the top, thats a problem.
If it's at the floor, thats a problem as well..

It's mechanical, there's no master lol. I'm lucky it's just tighten the 12 and 10mm bolt at the clutch fork. I wouldn't be surprised if out wasn't tightened correctly when he did my clutch. The dude was drinking when he did my clutch... How professional huh lol.

Is it possible to be over stretching the cable, or is that not really common? I don't want to tighten if i'm just going to stretch the cable.

The cable shouldn't stretch. I've never had an adjustment on my Outback, which was cable clutch.
Be careful, some of that adjustment is for the hill holder. Now that I think about it, the hill holder could be engaged too late in the clutch engagement causing that feeling - it should let go of the brakes right as you start engaging the clutch.

Nah I uninstalled the hill holder cable when I boughtthe car. Couldn't stand that thing.

I would definitely check the clutch fork, bearings, and pressure plate then.

Without making a new thread. I checked the clutch line adjustment at the fork. There is play in the line, however it seems like the line is as tightened on as much as it can be. I'm going to have to get some pb blaster and check again when I get some wrenches.
