I'm thinking of putting larger tires and a suspension lift on my '97 BG. Recommendations on what brand of lift to go with? Max tire sizes I can go with?

I've been wondering, if I go with the '05's suspension, as suggested, what are my options for using oversized springs to maximize the height of my ride?

Spring wise, you are a bit limited. http://www.kingsprings.com/ makes some dope heavy duty raised ones. They can get pricey but you can usually find a used pair. Plus, they're built with kryptonite and space-rock so it's not like they wear.

For the 2008 XT on RockAuto.com, there's only the Ireland and Great Britain suspension available. Is that better maybe??!!

Better? I'm not sure what you're asking.

Are you asking if Great Britain suspension is better or if 08 is better? Aftermarket parts for 03-08 will be the same, OEM is approximately the same, although there were a TON of part # changes for springs throughout the model years in that range. I don't know about the european market stuff vs. US market stuff though.
