I was waiting to show my new car until I fixed everything I wanted but I can't wait any longer. A month ago I bought my dream car, a 3rd Gen Legacy with an STI swap. The swap was done at ECS with a full engine and drive train and I am the second owner (I take no credit for the love that went into creating this car but I intend to show it tons more).

After buying the car I threw on my roof rack, plastidipped the winter wheels black (he had a bright blue), and cleaned up the headlights. This is how the car sits today.

Any dyno numbers?

Graver

Sadly not, he had the car tuned at around 345/365 if I remember correctly but when he moved he lowered the boost and estimated 250 whp. After I fix up some safety aspects (brakes/leaks) I am going to get it dynod and protuned. Pulls amazingly as is though

Good work dude. I also dig the aperture vinyl on your fairing.

Use a dremel or hack saw and I feel your pain. Also get stainless steel bolts and nuts and you will be a very happy camper.

Car looks amazing!!! Super Jelly

Well, when I first put on my bumper after almost a year of it sitting in a container, it was a little warped and didn't quite fit right. It eventually reshaped correctly though. Is that a new bumper that hasn't been used in awhile?

This right here... His bumper was WAY off to start. Plastic cover tend to re-shape when off a car because of not having the normal support. Give it some time and it will come back to normal. The warmer it is, the faster it will re-shape to what it should be.

I prefer sticking to 800x600. I'm not a fan of squinting to see if I want to open a new window for that picture or not, I like to scan quickly. That being said, if scroll bars are involved, that is also too much work for my liking :P

Holy awesomeness!!

Quick question. The Spec B axles are direct drop in? I just finished with a similar swap and I made custom axles from STI R180 and BE R160 with custom Races.

Does the Spec B axle retain the abs tone ring?

Looking mint!!! Love the RS wheels in black!

You either have JDM fenders made to fit or JDM side markers made to fit .

Either way very cool car.

Just need an amp and sub now. Is your headunit powering your speakers? It seems like it was giving more than enough power to them and I would just need an amp for a sub. Thoughts?

amgarrety
12-08-2012, 05:26 PM
I'm not running powerful speakers, so yes, the head unit powers them fine. If your speakers are any more powerful than stock, you may need an amp. You can look up the specs for that radio though, I believe the outputs are a little heftier than other head units.

That may be way to big :/ also because of my rotated setup it may be easier buying the same turbo. I appreciate the offer though

rougeben83
12-16-2012, 09:19 PM
Any turbo with the DSM/Evo flange pattern should work. I think you'll need to clock the turbo inlet though (not hard to do). But you'll def. need a re-tune if you buy a different turbo.

amgarrety
12-16-2012, 09:32 PM
For what it's worth, I vote for trying to get a new turbo, but I understand the cost of a new turbo vs how much the car is worth. But I would love to see this thing alive in all of its STI glory.

But, I mean, if you ever want to get rid of that motor..........
