I am planning on changing out my rims for some 17x7s, and I am looking for some tire recommendations for 225/55-17s to keep my circumference close to stock.
I do live in New England, so I will need All-Seasons, and I am looking for a relatively quiet ride. I would like to keep the tire cost under $150/corner, preferably under $125.
I did see some Sumitomo HTR, and Yokohama AVID Envigors that seemed reasonable, but I am open to suggestions.

Hankook make some nice all-seasons... I have also heard some good reports on the General Exclaim tires.
I'm actually a fan of the Nexen brand - they are cheap, but work well and wear very well. I use them on our company fleet and we're getting 40k out of them (and my drivers are not good at taking care of a vehicle).

Not bad, I see Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 for $97/corner on Tirerack and $126/corner at Sears.
I cant seem to find Nexen tires in that size.
EDIT: Actually Townfare.com which is fairly close to me, has the the Ventus for $119/corner with a $50 MIR for buying 4.. thats not too bad.

Just for a post-script on this thread.. I actually ended up going with the Sumitomo HTR A/S P01's. So far, I am extremely happy with this tire to the point that I can honestly say that they are the best tires I have ever purchased.
I am glad I did not look at the Avids, as it turns out those were on the car already, and they suck badly in the winter.
