Thanks! I haven't broken anything yet doing RallyX; just debeaded a few tires. Better to not risk it if your car isn't in top shape though.

You can pre-register online using myautoevents.com, or just show up. Sometimes the events fill up though, so it's a good idea to pre-register.

There are a lot of events this year. The next event is in March. Go! It's awesome.

Currently leading the Porterfield Glen Helen RallyX Championship points race with two wins under my belt now! Only one event left. Crossing my fingers and hoping for rain (I do better in the mud).

If it happened 5 seconds later there probably would have been a collision. I didn't even know what was going on until I passed the car. No red flags were thrown (there was not really time for it).

Woohoo! I just won the 2013 Porterfield Glen Helen RallyX Championship, Stock AWD class in a mechanically stock, naturally aspirated ~100 whp 3500 lb pig of a wagon :-). These Grabber AT2 tires sure worked great in the mud this year. At the very, very wet practice on Saturday I was outpacing the modified-class guys (here's a practice run video: http://youtu.be/uH4p6eOaFQ4), but Sunday's race was pretty dry so I didn't get on the podium for the day, but won enough points to finish 1st in the season after a good performance all year with two wins.

I also put some camo up on the roof basket fairing, got an '04 Outback grill that I plastidipped in black, and I plastidipped my stock wheels in black so my car has the same color scheme as with my street wheels.

Placed 6th at this event. Hit a bunch of cones on run 2 which dropped me out of the running for the podium but meh, I don't really care about winning again this year. Had a helluva lot of fun out in the mud!

Packing up camp on Saturday morning. We slept in our cars. Pouring rain for most the night, and howling wind the whole night. Subarus kept us warm! Also visible is some evidence of shenanigans the night before: my flat tire. There were a bunch of rocks stuck between the rim and the tire bead. No luck cleaning it out. Good thing I had a full size spare on the roof!
