plug in not pluged into anything what is the plug (pic)

Like the title says this pkug sits on the firewall dead middle. Its not pluged in and dosent seem to have anything to plug into anyone know what it is?

This could be a running thread with different people posting different unused or random plugs that they dont know where they go.



I just looked at photos of the BD and I dont see that plug anywhere.

How many contacts does it have? is it oval or square?

the one in the pic is way off the left (pass) side and also my crusie works if i can remember right havent useed in a long time. Anyway my plug in is right in the middle of the firewall

A picture of the inside of the plug would be helpful but I am still betting it is for Cruise.

Yes yours is in the center of the car... but it is running off of the set of wires that runs along the firewall like the other photos in that thread.

That was my thought too but I am pretty sure the plug for that is behind the A pillar up by the dash.

It might actually be heated windshield.


I still cant tell how many contacts are in that plug. 2 or 4?


Looks like chrish8r has the same plug but plugged in on his car. Notice that the plug in the firewall actually has a wire coming out of it that connects to the connector in question. Heated windshield would explain why I dont have a wire coming out of my firewall where that plug is. Did your car come with heated windshield?

2 plug in. and thast the one not sure wht it gose to but thats the same plug

Find out what that wire is coming out of the firewall and that will solve your problem.

Bottom line is that it seems like that connector should be connected to whatever is coming out of that grommet. If you have nothing coming out of that grommet than it doesn't look like you need to worry about plugging anything in.
