Ok guys, I started working on getting the motor back together in my GT-B, but I'm having hard time figuring out where everything goes...

I have a mass of vacuum lines I have no idea where they go and also I have a oil pressure line for the Greddy gauge I cant for the life of me figure out where it goes.

Here are some pics...

I have 3 sets and 3 bundles of vacuum lines. I know where they goes, just not what ones go where. :smt017

I have one nipple that is block off the center block, so if one of you guy in JDM land could get me one, that would be awesome!

Oil pressure line from the Greddy gauge... I cant for the life of me figure out where it goes. I figure the crank case or one of the turbos, but I just dont see anything...

These are 2 lines coming off of the firewall by the master cylinder's.

I randomly pulled this out of the engine bay and have no idea what so ever where it goes.

T-line I found and dont know where it goes. I'm assuming that it might go to the boost gauge?

A valve I was not 100% positive I was right one install... Is thing the right place?

A vacuum line on the left side of the motor with a T that has no home.
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2012/12/IMG_1467-1.jpg

2 line cumming out of the left side wheel well. I think one of them is for the rear washer line, but just cut.

And I know whats going one here, but I need this lower coolant line that goes under the fill tank. Anything USDM the same?

If anyone has exploded views or what not, that would be awesome! I do best with those. I know Chuk gave me a ton of info a while back, but I'm not sure if the TT motor's info is in the info I got.

Mainly I just need see if it runs good and then I will get to re-sealing things and what not.

Also, I'm thinking about one of those silicone tubing kits from Ebay since I need pretty much all of them.

"Will you walk into my parlour?" said the Spider to the Fly,
'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.”

This is my home, basically I am the guy that the locals and club lads go to, to fix problems with TT's pretty much, is it clear to you now why I dislike them so?

You have a fair bit of work to do to get that thing running remotely well, It will take us a few weeks of leasing to get it done, but I can supply you with the broken parts you need.

First off, I think what i'll to is get my man gerald up in Aukcland to cut off a bunch of the solenoid plugs, with the vacuum line numbers still visible, so that you may re-connect that in the right order, as well as get your replacement cube. I can also get you a new coolant pipe new from subaru with ease, or just get a used one out with the solenoid box (BBoD (Back Box of Doom)).

Picture 1, Picture 2, As per my ridicule in your main thread.

Picture 3, Aftermarket, consult any materialyou have on oil pressure gauges.

Picture 4, these are likely your intercoller valve vac lines, they plug in when the intercooler is on.

Picture 5, just an innocent earth strap, I left mine off. You can basically earht the block to the chassis with that, where ever you deem appropriate.

Picture 6, Aftermarket cheap boost tee, these normally live on line 12

Picture 7, Yup, that's the secondary pressure bypass valve, used to return boost from secondary back into the intake, during secondary prespool phase, whilst the intercoller valve is closed. It is actuated by one of the solenoids in the BBoD, as is the intercooler valve. The vac line off there will go directly to the BBoD IIRC.

Picture 8, I'm pretty sure that's one of the primary turbo wastegate vacuum lines, it should tee up with what you think is the rear washer hose.

Picture 9, Nothing to do with washers, these two vac lines are to do with the primary turbo wastegate, there is a boost control solenoid in the front guard, as well as a vacuum tank to store negative pressure in order to operate these monstrosities.

Picture 10, yup, can get you one, no sweat.

I hope you have wifi reception in your shed, cause you'll need to have a skype session with me, with video, so I can walk you through these engine bays.

Also, if you didn't cut those vac lines, please send an ANGRY e-mail on my behalf to the previous owner. NO CUTTY CUTTY, BAD SISSOR HANDS, VAC LINES DO NOT WORK WHEN THEY ARE SEVERED, AND TT'S DO NOT WORK WHEN THEIR VAC LINES DO NOT WORK.

Well, that was a bit helpful, believe it or not... haha! I was trying to basically plug as many holes as I could for when I'm doing body work, but at the same time would like to get parts on order if possible.

I'll take ya up on the skype offer when I get the time, and yes the shop has wifi... LOL...

I truly had nothing to do with the lines at all. I'm just trying to make it work and everything was in boxes in the trunk when I got the car. For what reason I dont know. Sadly, most of the lines are cut, so I will need to replace most of them. Still for the life of me cant figure out the stupid Boost gauge!

line 12 i think goes straight from the manifold to the bbod, the boost gauge should be plumbed into there.

Also, this will become your bible of the next week or so. I also have a bit more stuff. Basically read this entire site

Cool thanks! I'll be working on her tonight again I'm sure, right now it's good ol' work to pay the bills :smt023

I honestly don't think this is that much of a big fix?

Just need to know what hose goes where, conveniently they are all labelled :)

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2012/12/8443820112_large-1.jpg

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2012/12/20091201_155341_TT_System_Chart_6-1.jpg

The solenoids / nipples are numbered on the BBoD itself if you look closely

The broken one you can just short-cut, just drill through where it was and physically connect the hose on the other side (or pay to ship a new box??)

If you want I'll go take photos of each part of mine, there genuinely isn't much to do

Do watch out though, BG GTB's don't run a secondary wastegate, and the vac system is totally different to BE/BH, so any BE/BH material is not much use - which is what you've posted there... BE/BH stuff is easy to find, BG, not so much, but the UK tt register has a lot.

The core TT vac lines, that do the exhaust valves etc, are pretty much the same, but the way BH's do the boost control is totally different. And they use all 4 solenoid box vac plugs, the BG's only use 3 I think, so all that layout is different too.

I upgraded my last BG straight to my current BH, as far as I can tell there's nothing visually different? Boost control is 100% identical, same solenoid, same plumbing etc, the TT system works in the exact same manner (ecv, bypass valve etc are identical)

Only change might be hoses labelled different, and the differential sensor on the firewall is moved to the other side of the car. That top diagram above is for early BG/BD with the twin wastegate by the way too - the second one I just found on google.

Not trying to be a pain, more it's just a matter of having something to say "Hose 1 goes to point X, hose 2 to point Y" and you're away

(also look really close at the BBOD - all the hose nipple things are labelled with numbers to suit each hose)

Are you sure about that.... My dads 98 BH had totally different vac system to my 98 BG. Twice as many tee's, and in odd places, dual port BOV and everything... all over the primary side of the engine bay, the BG was far simpler.

Edit:
Aaaaaaahhhh, I think i got it, his is a VDC, it's possible the VDC has all the fuckery, where the normal GTB's were simple like the BG's...

As for the first pic, was labelled GTB, yet had the secondary wastegate, so i assumed it wasn't BG. there's also funny turbo setups the BG's got, VF18/19 was standard, but a few came out with a different pairing....
