adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

I have done a hybrid style intake with a weapon r sri. And stock I.b when I installed it I did notice a difference at speed. That's for sure...but I'm wanting more n the lowside. Would an adjustable fuel pressure regulator be beneficial? I also want to make some custom fuel rails for my 2.2 I looked around a bit but couldn't find a thread on it. Just trying to get a little more pep out of my fresh motor before I put it back in my Bd. I am almost ready for the swap I have a 98 ej 22 from an impreza ob have done a couple of upgrades to it as well as sealing up the motor and cleaning it vigorously, I'm Hoping to upgrade the whole fuel system with a walbro and adjustable/fpr with custom aluminum fuel rails. See what that gets me, any suggestions or direction from experienced Subaru guys would be great. Have a great evening and hope for a response

Are you turboing it? Upgrading the fuel system like that seems pretty pointless with out a fairly well built turbo setup, I can't imagine you have anything to gain from an NA setup with a stock ECU

I am more interested in n/a for this car...I dont know an upgrade plan for them, but I figure I'm getting air into the intake at a higher velocity with the sri so my thinking is putting a little more fuel and being able to tune the fuel on each rail should get me better power right?

I am only working with an ej22 so I kind of understand that I'm not getting monstrous horsepower. If I was to get 180 I would be happy. Turboing my car would be nice too but its a lot of electrical work and wiring.....that is intimidating stuff to me.

Raising fuel pressure and/or upgrading your fuel rails will have no effect on a NA build. Stock ECU will just compensate by pulling fuel so A/F ratios will stay the same. Even if you have engine management the stock system will be able to keep up with the fuel needs of the engine

Oh right makes sense, maybe a port match and polish the inlets on the head may help...kind of like a velocity stack? I saw something mentioned that doing a polish job to the runners on the 95 ej22 auto I/m with egr may screw with the a/f ratio...any truth to that?
What else may help me get better flow with that 98 ej22? I just have intake, axleback, msd coil, iridiums and good accel wires. I have sealed that puppy and cleaned it and just need to tap the head for the egr tube and slap it in.

Get a high flow coverter and about 2.25 inch piping to your axleback. If you can source out a single port aftermarket exhaust manifold that would be a +

Jeez with the price of high flow cats.....I would like to get one of those single port headers but I don't think borla makes them anymore, I seen the obx ones but those are dual and have cheapo swage fittings.
