Hey guys im new to the legacy forums but have been around for some time on other subaru forums. I have recently picked up a 98 legacy gt wagon. Its my second legacy and like my 10th subaru lol. Really already lost count. Iv had probably already close to 40 cars and since the time i found myself in a subaru i didnt really want anything else. I dont have to many pics yet and have not done much to it besides fix the damage to the rear. Waiting to pass inspection and get it registered before really starting on doing anything to it. Anyways here is a pic of the legacy. ill try taking a few more later and updating.

what an sti looks like when im done with it. this was originally suppost the be the donor car for the legacy gt but i would need to put in to much money to make it complete so i just parted most of it out. left a few goodies ;)

Yes sir I did. Tried to find one with a clean title but craigslist is becoming to crazy. Didnt wanna pay what people were over asking considering ill be swapping everything out anyways. This one was hit so lightly so im not worried about the structure of the car or anything like that. I only changed the rear hatch and rear bumper. Hence the outback bumper. Ill either paint it or find a gt bumper

Yeah, I know how much they can go for, my BD I got from my boss that does insurance rebuilds. Have had it for about 5 years. nothing wrong with a rebuild if it's done right.

What are the plans for the swap(s)? Just motor, or looking for some other goodness?

Asnof now I have a few options. I wanna buy a wrecked wrx or if I get lucky sti and swap everything over. Im hoping to get something within a few weeks. If I will luck out then I have a complete sti longblock that needs a rebuild and the entire cars harness so I guess thats also an option. But then I would have to source either a fxt or a 6 speed transmission cause I dont no how much abuse a 280k miles legacy 5 speed would take ha ha. Would be fun to find out tho.

You're right. I haven't looked that hard. I always see you posting but never actually saw where you were from. If you want to get a meet put together I'd be willing to drive up there for it. If its open to other cars as well I may be able to talk to the guy who runs the local import group down here and seeing if he can get everybody to come up as well.
