Hi all! I'm Jorge, and I'm relatively new to the world of Subaru ... Last year I bought, for a very good price, a 1998 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GL AT PX (I never have been able to ascertain what the acronym means "PX"). I bought with the intention of reselling it ... but I took the car love, because it is fast and very comfortable .. When I bought it I did not have any kind of modification, a simple but beautiful model GL. In August 2011 a reckless driver, not respected signaling "Stop" and destroyed much of my car ... As the crash did not damage the chassis, and the engine did not hurt either .. I decided to repair it with used parts of a Legacy GTB .. Actually do not know if all parts are of a GTB ... Here in Chile there is not much information on these models of Subaru ... Over time I have acquired knowledge of Subaru Legacy models sold in different parts of the world .. I recently started buying parts for Ebay and seeking new knowledge, I've found your page. I hope I can count on you when you have questions about parts .. I'm still in search of the mudguards, side skirts, electric retractable antenna, rear bumper and small additional devices, such as mirrors, etc..

Wow! nice work! And welcome! How hard are those cars to get over there? I scrapped a car that was almost identical to that one damage and all, but no motor) about a year ago.

I came here for information at first and found more then I thought I ever would. r3v_v3ng3 is right when he says just about everything is already on here. Feel free to ask any of us if you need to. :smt023

Wow! Amazing rebuild, looks awesome. Noticed something interesting on yours, here in the US, the outback has the humped roof, I don't believe the other styles here have that. How common is that roofline there?

Thank you! I hope to have as much info as possible, I love to read! The only coomplicación I have is that I need to improve my English language lol :-) but from my knowledge and google translator, I get a good understanding!

I know, it's been crazy! But I had to do this because the person that hit my car, I even canceled money. I have cost less money to purchase a vehicle. but did not have the money. Repairs done I have done between November 2001 and September this year. I have no regrets at all, have done this. :-)

The law allows the partial reconstruction of damaged vehicles, provided this does not involve changing the chassis. The chassis that I bought, I had to go to remove it to another city, travel over 600km was little what I used of it, but I needed that part, because there was no possibility of repair. The chassis that one can buy, you must have your documentation extinct, as a vehicle. It becomes a spare.

Thank you! I'm still improving their esthetics, one day will come ej20tt engine.
Now that you mention it to the roof line: Here most of the Subaru Legacy have the roof hunched, some models do not come with the roof and are USDM. There are some without rails but all have this type of rail, which covers almost the entire roof, unlike some foreigners I've seen with smaller but more robust rail

I already bought the rear bumper, but I could not bring it to my town. It is north of the country, more than 2,000 kilometers and that is very expensive to move.
With this bumper, I install the JDM stainless steel bumper cover and rear mudguards. I have not had time to install the handle on the rear gate, I hope to soon. The antenna, I noticed that there is the Original Connection to mount it, I thought that did not exist in my model ...

Yesterday I bought a JDM Momo woodgrain steering wheel w / cruise control, so I have not even photographs of it. Need to buy a Clock Spring to adapt, as my steering wheel is without airbag.

Guys, the task is tough .. I envy those who have a GT-B Original ... Here to chile come to only one region, but not be removed from there ... It is an area that is not taxed, the vehicles there are very, very cheap .. But as I said, the law does not allow them out as "vehicles" but as "spare parts" .. Without documents to travel on the country. The pieces that I have purchased until now, I get very expensive, but still is cheaper acquire on ebay. I have checked forums, and I can assure that here in Chile, there is no GT-B that possesses my stainless steel parts, when the show, people think that I sent to manufacture ... Even a lot to buy, but for now, I think I'm on the right track :-)
I need help, I want to install the GT-B climate. Mine brings a series of buttons to regulate heat and position ...

No friend, I chose that color I did not to leave out the green, but adding a touch of "renewal" visual.
