Would anyone here know where I can get a replacement radiator for single turbo jdm sf5 automatic transmission engine? I'm having a hard time getting here in the Philippines. Some one said that I can use a radiator for 1st Gen Impreza? Hope you can help.

Thanks!

I believe the engine is ej20g? For those who had an engine swap, what radiator are you using? How about aftermarket?

So this is for a Turbo Forester? What year?

I dont think there is a difference in the radiator between the turbo and non turbo foresters here in the US so I would say any non-turbo replacement radiator for that year forester will work as long as it was for the AT transmission considering they had an oil cooler built into the radiator.

A new radiator with lifetime warranty is only about $160 to buy here in the states... probably a good amount more to ship it to you though.

I would order the ebay wrx aluminum radiator. Make sure to get the upper radiator hose for it too since its different. You just have to fab out a mounting tab for your fans and also trim it. Ive done this on my sis FXT and also double checked on a 99 forester. I would take it with me if I head to phillippines lol but haven't been there since 03

Good luck

Ito and ginawa ko. Its on my legacy but for your auto turbo forester you can get a all aluminum wrx radiator, external trans oil cooler and wrx upper radiator hose for wrx.

salamat. my car is also a legacy but the engine is the same as that of the jdm sf5.

btw, aren't external tranny coolers still need to go through the radiator?

We'll in that case, you have to cut and flatten out the lower part of the radiator support since the wrx radiators are taller. 2nd gen legacy's radiator are wider.

No external ones don't need to go thru the radiator. They only build those radiator for auto to save money and space.

Will be trying to put in an 07 wrx radiator in my legacy. Supposedly it will fit, will just have to change hoses to that of the wrx. Fans should have to be re-fitted or use fans for the 07 wrx.

Will post feedback.

It won't fit without grinding cutting the lower radiator support. Like I said the wrx are taller/thinner while the legacy are wider/shorter

What my mechanic did was to put in bh5 radiator. So far so good.
