I'm not 100% sure if I'm posting in the right section but, I'm going to post in DIY just incase.
I may be purchasing a straight body '96 Legacy L.
I was wondering first being, If I were to buy a '96-99 Forrester 2.5L N/A motor (EJ25D), will it bolt right up?
Somebody once told me ALL EJ motors will fit into ALL EJ chassis.
Is that a correct statement? if that's the case, then I will proceed with my next question.
Once, I get the motor in, I was looking at WRX 5/6 SP. trannys.
I found one I like, (both the motor, and the tranny are around the same miles, being around 45-55K)
Will that bolt right up to the chassis?
I'm new to Subaru's aswell as Motor swaps, and how they work, I'm pretty much basics book smart, any tips, or points you guys can give me about First and Second gen Legacies would be great!
