What is a SLi Lifer? Thats someone that will be here even if they dont have a Legacy anymore.

How many of you will be here when your car is gone? I have been here for just over 3 years and I can tell you that I have made friends I never thought I would! Not just over the net friends, but have taken trips to meet people in person, worked on members cars, and have even brought some more people to the SLi family.

I originally came here because I didnt know that much about JDM Subaru's and wanted to know more. I ended up with learning more then I would have ever thought and have meet a ton of quality people along the way. I have done the same at a couple other forums, but never have a I felt as close to a larger number of people then I do here! This feels like a family. We can a agree, disagree, banter back and forth and we are still friends!

I want to thank everyone that has helped me over the years and also want to encourage others to do what you can to be part of the forum and get to know the other local members if you can! I took a trip in July to meet some of the east coast guys and I have to say, it was the most fun I had in years and I know they will be friends for years to come! I hope in time I can meet more of you and see more of your cars also!

So get out there, Sticker your car up, get a Calender, enter the Ride of the Month, and just be active on the board. I have a feeling you guys will be seeing me on here for a long time, even if by some chance I sell off the Legacy's for a BRZ, but that is doubtful.. :smt023

Yep, even if I don't drive a Legacy again, I'll be here.

It's not like Foresters are irrelevant to the Legacy forums anyways. All Subarus are darn near the same cars.

If ever I sold my car or wrecked it and got a different car I would probably still browse here once in a while and post a bit but I'm much more active on legacycentral simply because its just for 1st gens and this forum is mostly 2nd and 3rd gen legacys.

I'm still here after 2 and a half years of being out of a legacy. This forum is amazing and being that all Subaru's are generally the same most questions could still be answered

I don't think this thread applies to me... I cant stop this addiction.. However as a forum / community of people, I cant see myself signing into any other forum.. This just feels like home..

A site for 1st gens! I'll be checking that forum out! The people on this site that I have met in person are great-just to talk about legacys is so refreshing after listing to "kids" go on and on about their wrx's and sti's :smt019

Oh yeah best board on the web lol. This board is pretty good too though. More traffic here but most of the topics don't apply to my car.

What lord said. Screw you guys and your interests.

No but really, I'll be on this board for awhile. I think I'll even stay in the Legacy family for awhile. It is by far the best car we've ever owned (my mom and dad each have one, as does my girlfriend), and I see no reason to move on to another model. I'm definitely a Subaru guy, but the Legacy is my car for sure. I'll have other cars throughout my life but I intend to have at least one Legacy in the family at all times. A lot of that has to do with how much I've learned through this forum, and because of that, I want to stick around and share some the things I've learned with newer people too.

Seriously.. no joke! I can get the panels for $375-ish/each from subaru, but they wont ship them. Have to pick them up in CT. I was debating grabbing some.. but I don't have the means of skills to weld them in!

I'll be here for awhile also! My only regret is not documenting step by step on the transformation on my BD. needed a 4dr family car and the legacy is definitely a keeper!

Consider me like herpes, I'm not going anywhere!!

First car I wanted was a Subaru Baja turbo. It took me about 9 years but I finally made it in to the fold! I'll own a Legacy till I die. And then I'll force my children to continue the "Legacy." Or I'll haunt them... :smt005

I have been around a lot of other car guys and forums. Nissan, Volvo, Toyota, and a few others. This is the most tight group of people I have found. We might call each other out sometimes, but we still are friends in the end. The more time I spend with my Subaru and others with them, the more I love them. Even if all you do is install a K&N filter, we still treat each other the same, with respect (most of the time... haha)...

Legacy guys tend to be more down to earth, but Subaru people as a whole are a great bunch and every time someone sells their car, they are right back at trying to find another within a few months. I truly have thought of getting a BRZ, but I just cant give up my Legacy. Maybe it's that she looks good, shes useful, or that my niece thinks it's a cool car. Everyone loves even though it's old.

its like one big internet group hug in here (nohomo)...

Let's just put it this way...this is the only group of car guys that I've done not once, but two multi-hour road trips just to show up for a meet. I think that says something.

I always said the only way I'd get ride of my Legacy is if I comletly totalted it beyond repair (beacuse I have wrecked it twice and fixed it twice lol). And even if I did lose my Leggy, I'd go find another. "LOVE!! it's what make a Subaru a Subaru"

I would like to think i will be here for a long time. new to forums and subaru so we shall see how it pans out. before i bought my legacy i had always wanted to STI. i never realized how usefull the rest of the line up would be. i will never give up hope to have my STI but i will never give up the love of my first legacy. the one i have now will probably be left in Germany when i leave due to the salt build up, but i hope to find one just like it and make it my baby....
