Which do yall think would be the better purchase?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Subaru- ... 51&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Subaru-Legacy-B4-BE5-BH5-STI-Front-Strut-Bar-Brace-OEM-JDM-/330803075153?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d05665851&vxp=mtr)

or the Whitline front tower brace?

Also would the B4 KOUKI HEADLIGHT be a direct bolt up or would there be some splicing involved?

front strut bars are mainly for show.. the rear bar does more.

its personal preference. you can use any 93-01 impreza bar in the front.

..
Any foreign head light swap will need wire splicing or re-making the connectors.

I figured as much. Someone else said the strut was pointless, but I just wanted to confirm with yall.

How much of a hassle does that entail? I love how they look, and think they'd be a awesome addition. The postings says they are HID. Is that true?

There are two types of "Koito" Headlights. The older A-C type headlights will bolt right in. The newer D Type headlights need some radiator support trimming and will have some gaps on a USDM hood and bumper.

Both will require re-wiring.

The A-C type look much like the USDM lights, but have no amber reflector on them. They are also HID type headlights.

The D type has a "projector" style turn signal and also are HIDs.

The one's in question are type D. How much of a gap are we talking?

Its not huge, but it is annoying. The whole assembly is a few millimeters narrower and the curve of the hood is different, so there is a gap in the middle of that curve. There are a couple of threads about it.

This one has a hood deflector which covers that part of the gap: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=19106& (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=19106&)

This picture is from tfro33's For Sale thread.

Thanks for the info and link! I think I'll just leave this for after the rebuild.
