I put in some JDM rear seats in my 03 Legacy wagon and it has a neat cargo barrier that rolls out (up) and clips to the ceiling. However, I need the clips for it, and they dont exist in the USA.
See here http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/e ... tration_2/ (http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/en_b12/type_25/body_equipment_interior/room_inner_parts/illustration_2/)
i need parts in "Detail D", #6 and #8, part numbers 92045AE020OB and 92045AE030OB
can someone in europe or japan find these for me? :)

I have someone here in the US that can order parts directly from SOJ. Let me see what i can do.

How do you plan on attaching them?

I thought I would figure it out after I got them lol. Unless someone wanted to also get me the JDM/EDM trim pieces that go above the rear windows

You might be able to get them from Canada also since they just started importing BH/BE's.
Also, I wonder if they are the same as my BG5? :smt017

grey. part numbers for the upper paneling is 94015AE000OB and 94015AE010OB (right and left)
however i have a feeling the chassis is wider on the jdm models and those pieces are not going to fit a usdm wagon

I dont think the roof lines are any different. If your seats bolted in with no gaps, then I dont thin it will be a problem. If it is the solution is easy, just get the mounts widened.
Looks just like my BG5 by the way...

On the BG they screw into special brackets in the roof which the US models don't have, which is why I asked how you would attach them.

you can see in the link I posted, the clips go in a spot in the middle of the upper trim covering. I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts about doing this on a USA model and if someone with access to JDM/EDM parts could get me the parts. seems like it would be easy to pick them up from a junkyard or buy them new, either way

Do you really think they just screw into the plastic trim? That would be a pretty useless cargo net.

no but i'm saying the plastic trim has a socket in it specifically for it as opposed to the BG one in the pic you posted where it apparently just goes outside the edge of the trim

The trim is irrelevant, it doesn't hold the clips, the clips help hold the trim in place.
My question was, how do you plan to attach them (assuming your car doesn't have the threaded brackets)?
Since you're asking about the trim I guess you're thinking of fixing the clip only to the trim (assuming it fits the USDM legacy), but that would render the cargo net pretty much useless and simply hooking it up might deform or pop the trim out.

I have no plans yet. I was simply asking questions about parts.

It looks like it would be simple enough to drill a hole and tap it to attach the clips. All you'd have to do is cut the trim to fit it.

I'm replying to this old thread for completeness - I just finished installing the clips that elislider is talking about. There is good news and bad news on this one. First off, the body already has the captive nuts installed for the cargo clips, even on american cars - bad news, the JDM trims don't really work. It's really hard to see without comparing the two side by side, but the JDM upper trims are a lot smaller than the USDM ones. So much so, that if you were to install the JDM trim in your american car, there would be a 1/4 to 1/2" gap between the trim and the headliner where you would see the roof.
JDM trim:

What I decided to do was to replicate the pocket in the JDM trim which this little cargo bracket sits in:
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2015/12/WP_20151119_009-1.jpg
So, I had a model made which I could then print out for testing purposes:

I cut a hole in my upper trims, the exact shape of the pocket trim and in the right position for the cargo net clips. In this photo, you can actually see the captive nut in the bodywork:
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2015/12/WP_20151213_20_59_41_Rich_LI-1.jpg
I then had right and left pocket trims printed out in plastic, painted them gray, and then installed them into the car:

Cargo net up:

So, I did this because I'm a little bit of a completist - I wanted my interior to have everything a JDM car would have - but it was an awful lot of work for not a lot of utility..

First time I ever saw one of these in person was on my dad's old Audi.
That one had a spot where the net could be hooked when the seat was folded down as well, which actually proved to be useful in a few situations.
Pretty cool!

hupshall Good stuff! You should print a couple more sets and put then up for sale here. I'm sure there are more people that could use them.
