After my "paint my wheels mod"

I think I'll get a front and rear diffuser. But any company out there makes any for our vehicle? or something similar?

Cuz today i took a look down my bumpers and see that its possible to fit a diffuser in the front and rear bumpers.

The only subaru I've ever seen a diffuser for is the 06 STi.

word.

so you think it'll fit on the BD with a little bit of work?

or should i get a big aluminium sheet metal and cut and fit on the bumper?

I doubt it would fit, Impreza chassis are pretty different in some ways. You could always ask for measurements and detailed pictures to see if you want to pull it off, I guess.

as for sheetmetal...why not just get a skiplate and call it a day? It would smooth out the bottom of the car nicely.

It's a plate that you bolt from the bumper to the back of the engine bay underneath the car to protect the oil pan. It's mostly made for offroading, but I'd imagine it smooths things out a little aerodynamically.

a skidplate is just a usually sturdy plate that covers some important parts on the underbody, so that if you were to go offroading or have total disregard for speedbumps, it would protecting things like your tranny, diff, or oil pan.

blast!!!

i've been had!

there really isn't that much to making a diffuser, as long as you can mount it solidly, and make sure theres clearance for moving parts and such.

If i loose my last brain cells and go completely nuts on the rest of my car, im thinking about mocking up a 3 piece undertray to completely shield EVERYTHING under the car. you'd be surprised at what that can do.

skid plate

No, a dealership wouldn't have it, it's not an OEM part.

Try....

Anyone know if the plastic shield on the BE's will fit on a BD/BG/BK?
Could make a useful template.

Did an oil change on an 04 Outback tonight, was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the oil filter because it's protected by the plastic shield.
