Hey guys, I just bought an '02 Legacy Outback, it's got quite a bit of miles on in, and they got it from an auction after it had a snapped timing belt pulley or something like that. It had bent valves and stuff like that but the dealer repaired all that, replaced HG's fixed the valves, new timing belt of course, wire work for the engine, new water pump, all maintenance needed for a 200k+ subaru. It's a manual and drives very nice, now my friend was telling me that as far as sleepers go it is a pretty good choice for tuning up and getting some good power out of it. Do you guys have any suggestions on where I could go with it?

Welcome! Read around as the site was recently "revamped" and is pretty efficient now (not that it ever wasn't).

The naturally aspirated section will give you a lot of interesting info for power mods, the swap section will show you how to make your car "actually fast" and the member's ride section will show you some real-world results.

Got any pics?

There are a lot of 3rd Gen Outbacks on there to get ideas from. Welcome!
