So I was lucky enough to aquire a set of power folding, heated mirrors. They are already disassembled so I can swap over to the USDM bases but I'm trying to figure out the wiring for the switch as it was included. I do have the wiring schematics for the USDM '04 Outback but cannot locate any for the JDM stuff.
Also, are the JDM shells the same as the USDM ones? Would rather swap the painted part over then having the JDM ones repainted.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

are you sure they are power folding AND heated for the BE/BH? I have not seen those before, only power folding no heat (jdm), or manual folding heated (usdm) [plus obviously power no heat no folding, also usdm])

Yup, power folding and heated JDM mirrors. Went out and double checked and it has on the motor and the two purple wires that plug into the heated glass.
So, I have something that might be a bit more uncommon? Makes this conversion even more awesome!

does it have the "heated" icon etched in the glass like USDM ones? I'm just curious if they did that in Japan, because i've not seen BE/BH JDM mirrors with the icon in the mirror glass, but maybe they didnt do that over there

I was curious about this too, since I had never seen a heated door mirror switch in Japan for the BE/BH. Turns out that some models did have heated mirrors. But they turned on when the rear defrost button was selected (in the HVAC controls). The heated mirrors were tied into the rear defrost system so they never had a switch on the door panel next to the mirror control.
Weird. I didn't know that.

The switch has the folding switch, L&R selector switch and the mirror adjuster. No button for the heating elements like my Outback does. The mirrors are heated as I have the JDM heated glass and a set of new USDM unheated glass kits (unopened). The guy I got the mirrors from was going to put them on a BH GT wagon but sold it and was selling off the JDM goodies he had for it. He also did me the favor of disassembling them to swap over to the USDM glass and to paint the shells but never finished his project. Have all the parts for them too

Indeed it is! I think I will start working more on this over the weekend. I need to leave the battery charger on the XT6 for awhile and will have some down time
So more updates hopefully this weekend!
