need help with exhaust!!!

hi i have a 2001 legacy l that im thinking about putting cat back exhaust on. id like it to sound good when i kick her down but i dont want that ugly drone on the highway or for it to sound like a civic... i was just wondering what a good setup is and what size piping works best
