Do you need to change anything besides the connector that plugs into the speedometer head when switching between years? The connectors are different and I was wondering if the speedo will read wrong. There was a thread about going from the 96 speedo to 98 but I cant find it right now.

Everything will read fine.

Just make sure your tach has the correct plug. The tach will respond based on the ecu parameters. So if you put a GT tach into a L your rev limited will be lower then reported on the GT tach but the numbers will be correct. ie. instead of 6200 rpm .. it will be 6000..

Ok, well there is no plug in my dash for the tach but it reads fine. I will go pick up a new connector for the speedo and hook it up, thanks.
