Serial number ?

Hi Guys,
Have accedently posted this on another page.
I'm seeking info on a Legacy Wagon I have had for years and I'm trying to identify the build date.
I know it's a 1989 ex Japan car.
Body ID number is as follows.
6U900000BFA005200
Seems like a lot of zeros.

Build date is posted on the door jam under the door latch. There should be a sticker that shows the production date in this format ##/##

Nope not there.
I have looked all over this car but no joy.
There is the Fuji Heavy Industries LTD plate but no build date it is on the Strut Tower left side.
Can it be worked out through the serial number which is fixed to the Fire Wall ?
